Hugo Le Damany is an economist, working on euro area for Core Investments platform and AXA Group. In his role, Hugo provides insights on economic activity, prices, monetary policies and financial markets for portfolio managers, clients and media.

Hugo joined AXA IM in December 2018 as Junior Quant Economist. He spent his time developing macroeconomic models, in particular on euro area, provided financial forecasts for AXA Group and covered the Japanese economy. He became a full time economist on euro area in September 2021.

Prior to joining AXA IM, Hugo had some experiences at the Banque de France and Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations. Hugo holds an advanced Master’s degree in Quantitative Methods for Economic Decision Making from ENSAE Paris (Institut Polytechnique de Paris) and a Master’s degree in economics from Paris Dauphine-PSL University.
