Empowering Sustainable Futures

Beyond our investment strategies, we are committed to make a positive and meaningful impact for our communities, the environment and society by partnering with organisations that are working to address sustainability challenges. In 2024, we launched the AXA IM Philanthropy Programme ‘Empowering Sustainable Futures’ to unite our global and local charitable endeavours including volunteering activities under a common thematic.

A centralised programme to align our efforts

Increasing our support towards addressing societal and environmental challenges through impactful engagement.

“Empowering Sustainable Futures” programme reenforces our philanthropic commitment by enhancing alignment and connection between all our global and local philanthropy and volunteering initiatives, while actively engaging our employees.

Partnering with organisations and employees for maximum positive impact

Employees in our local offices are invited to suggest non-profit organisations for application to the “Empowering Sustainable Futures” programme, with selection based on clear criteria of eligibility. The selection is guided by an internal philanthropy committee with representatives from the business. The projects we support are measured against tangible outcomes and goals. A portion of the funding comes from a set portion of selected impact strategies management fees, ensuring the alignment of our investments with our societal impact goals.

Volunteering

Volunteering with local charities enables our employees to engage with communities first-hand. Under our volunteering policy, each employee in eligible countries can take time away from work to volunteer at a registered non-profit organisation of their personal choice.

In 2024, over 1,300 employees dedicated time and expertise to projects with both a social and environmental impact, including:

  •  school outreach programmes, to support young people to develop financial literacy and understand the value of savings.
  • forest and beaches tidy initiatives.
  • sport challenges to raise funds for non-profit organisations.

At our regular onboarding events, we invite every new joiner to the company to participate to a collective volunteering activity organised with our local partners.

We share updates about our colleagues’ participation in philanthropic initiatives on our Instagram page, so follow us @axa.im.
