AXA IM announces the appointment of two Responsible Investment experts
AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) today announced two appointments within its Responsible Investment (RI) team, aiming to further expand its capabilities and expertise:
- Mariana Villanueva is appointed ESG Analyst. She will work on transversal topics such as biodiversity as well as the analysis of Green and Sustainable bonds. She is joining from the AXA Group where she was a Credit Analyst.
- Matthieu Firmian is appointed ESG Analyst. He will provide thematic research and analysis on various ESG topics with a specific focus on social themes, contributing to AXA IM's engagement projects on social topics and engaging with companies on these areas. He is joining from Aviva Investors, where he was Product Manager.
Based in Paris and reporting to Virginie Derue, Head of ESG Research, they will both support AXA IM’s research and engagement projects.
Mariana Villanueva
Mariana Villanueva joined the AXA Group in 2018, first as a Responsible Investment Analyst, before being appointed Credit Analyst in 2019. Mariana began her career with several internships at OXFAM, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) as well as the OECD.
Mariana holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Ateneo de Manila University and a Master degree in International Development, Concentrations in Environment & Agriculture from Sciences Po Paris.
Matthieu Firmian
Matthieu Firmian joined AXA IM in 2018 as a Responsible Investment Analyst, based in London, before joining Aviva Investors as a Product Manager in 2020. Matthieu began his career with several internships at CPR AM and KPMG.
Matthieu holds a Master degree in finance from Kedge Business School.
