Benoît Galaup is an ESG Analyst – Nature & Biodiversity at AXA IM.

Benoît actively contributes to integrating nature and biodiversity considerations into the company’s investment strategies. As part of the Responsible Investment Center, a transversal team dedicated to responsible investment, he plays a key role in developing and evolving AXA IM’s nature strategy. His work includes leading shareholder engagement campaigns with companies on environmental issues, both individually and as part of collective initiatives such as Nature Action 100 and the Emerging Markets Investors Alliance. 

In addition, he participates in updating investment policies related to biodiversity, ensuring that AXA IM’s objectives align with regulatory frameworks and industry best practices. His expertise also extends to ESG governance, where he assesses companies’ sustainability performance using AXA IM’s ESG methodology and contributes his analysis to the ESG committee. As part of his research efforts, he monitors emerging trends in sustainable finance, identifies new indicators, and develops tools to enhance the integration of biodiversity considerations into investment decision-making. 

Benoît also supports AXA IM’s investment platforms by addressing client requests and integrating environmental criteria into investment analysis processes. He represents AXA IM in several collaborative initiatives, including the TNFD, Finance for Biodiversity, and the Association Française de Gestion, contributing to strategic discussions on incorporating nature and biodiversity into the financial sector. His work also involves preparing reports and regulatory disclosures, such as those required under Article 29 of the French Energy-Climate Law and TNFD pilot initiatives. Additionally, he regularly contributes to media coverage in specialized outlets like Environmental Finance and PA Future, sharing his expertise and raising awareness of sustainable finance issues. 

Through his various responsibilities, Benoît plays a central role in AXA IM’s commitment to responsible investment, helping to place nature and biodiversity at the core of financial decision-making.
