Alexandre Martin-Min

Head of Impact Private Equity & Natural Capital

Alexandre Martin-Min is Head of Natural Capital & Impact Investments at AXA IM Alts. 

Alexandre has been in this role since 2014 and, as CIO, oversees the investment style and strategy of investments made for AXA IM Alts’ Structured Finance business line, including the sourcing, managing and monitoring of investment activities and portfolios for the platform.

He also co-heads the Securitised and Structured Assets team, responsible for the management of a well-performing, diversified product range, including CLOs, Asset Backed Securities, Insurance Linked Securities, Mortgages and Impact Investing. Alexandre also leads the Multi-Management team, in charge of the management of dedicated funds investing across credit classes and Volta.

Alexandre plays a key role in developing AXA IM’s $2.5bn Impact Investing product line, launched in 2013 and focused on creating long-term, sustainable value for clients, society, and the planet. Alexandre also sits on the Impact Investment Committee, guiding the investment objectives and opportunities to directly address two mega global themes: Healthcare & Financial Inclusion and Climate & Biodiversity.

Alexandre joined AXA in 2001 has spent 24 years at AXA IM and initially led the team in charge of investing in CLOs, ABS and regulatory capital transactions. In this role, Alexandre launched the development and, consequently, the management of numerous funds invested in CDO Equity and Debt, including the Saint Bernard Fund and Opera.

Previously, he spent three years as an Equity Derivative Specialist, in charge of pricing unusual equity options at CDC IXIS Capital Markets and, worked for two years as a Fixed Income Derivative Specialist at Aurel-Leven in Paris.

Alexandre graduated from the French statistics school ENSAE, with a major in Stochastic Calculus and Statistics. He has over 28 years industry experience.
