AXA IM expands its equity technology team with the appointment of Brad Reynolds
AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) announces the appointment of Brad Reynolds as portfolio manager in the AXA IM Equity Technology team, effective already.
Brad Reynolds will co-manage the recently launched Metaverse strategy alongside Pauline Llandric, effective from 1 January, and supports the other existing Robotech, Digital Economy and Global Technology strategies and mandates, run by the equity investments team. He reports to Tom Riley, Head of Global Thematic Strategies for AXA IM Equity.
Commenting on the appointment, Tom Riley said: “Brad is a welcome addition to our equity Technology investment team, helping reinforce and expand on our current expertise. He brings with him strong experience in fundamental analysis and understanding disruptive and changing technologies coupled with an investment mindset that is aligned with our AXA IM Equity fundamental quality growth investment process and philosophy. I am pleased to strengthen our growing Technology franchise, particularly with the recent launch of our Metaverse fund.”
Brad Reynolds
Brad Reynolds is a Technology portfolio manager at AXA IM with 15 years of investment experience across both long-only and long-short equity strategies. Prior to joining AXA IM, Brad gained over eight years’ experience as a technology sector specialist within the Polar Capital Technology Team. His role involved an investment focus upon high growth companies within the Internet and Software sub-sectors, alongside an expansion across to the Industrial sector in the pursuit of technology disruption ideas outside the traditional tech sector.
Between 2011-2014, Brad was an Equity long/short Analyst at Ratio Asset Management and then subsequently a founding member of the Polar Capital European Market Neutral team as the Ratio European Opportunities Fund transferred to Polar Capital. Brad started his career as a Hedge Funds Marketing Executive at Gartmore Investment Management in 2001 and became a Hedge Fund Analyst at F&C Partners LLP in 2007.
Brad holds a BA Hons in Business Studies from the University of Hertfordshire.
